W. Kitty Art Cards II and More by zetallis W. Kitty Art Cards II and More by zetallis
Another W. Kitty art card along with two other commissioned ones.

With all these, I tried to have an old portrait feel. Some techniques were more sucessful than others but all very fun! I cannot tell you how much better these look in person, the gold gel pen seriously just steps everything up.

W. Kitty Vs Steampunk: On sale here! Only 4 days bidding this time! [link] It's so nice in RL, sadly new scanner hates gelpens with a vengence too. But there's a lovely gold border and embellishment. And along with the gears and other sparkly bits she has a wonderful and subtle gold haze.

Ruby: A fun character design! She's part osprey and has this neato feather collar. Not to mention her hair is feathers. I have to draw the rest of her someday. I love ospreys ;_; And steampunk ;o; She too has a gold haze and the gold border.

Molly: *databank's Molly looking classy in Victorianesque clothes. It was a interesting challenge to make this one look faded and all scratched up.

I like the middle one. Her breast reminds me of an owl. In my mind, she's named Athena.

I like how you made them all beat up and old looking. *bravo!* Are those copic or watercolor?

Thanks! That was fun to try and simulate. They're copic.

You did very well. Maybe you could show me sometime. :) If you want. I want to try to hang out with you more when I get back to Denver.

Oh! I managed to contact someone who was working on Wakfu. It's all flash, with only 3d for some background stuff, and than they did special effects with after effects. They have a group of about 80 people working on it, about 30 animators and the rest do compositing, editing and such. I want to try to do one of these. It would be fun.

Yeah sure I can show you. It's actually very simple and involves alot of finger smudging lol. Would be very cool to hang out once you get back :D When will that be btw?

That's cool! Who did you get in contact with? Just curious. But wow, glad to know it's not some small studio where 5 people busted it out XD; Pretty crazy with AE. Let me know if you ever find out more :)

Awesome! I can't wait. XD

Finger smudging copic? This I have to see. I'll be back on the 29th of this month. I'm coming back to Denver. Hopefully I'll find a good job.

I got ahold of :icongueuzav:, she was kind enough to answer a couple questions and than she started to ignore me. >.< I hate it when they do that. I'm being serious in wanting to learn something and Wam! "I'm too good for you" mode kicks in... or she's just to busy to answer me. ^^;

I'm doing alot of research so if I learn more I'll share. XD

Oh naw, just the gelpens are smudged. The copics is just slowly building layers up to look old.

I'm sure they're just busy XD;

I must say, for Molly's the scratched effect is even more believable in reality! Kudos!
