Here's something kinda different. A digital painting I did for a class. It's a magpie.. um that's it really >.>; I attempted realism but then got bored, tired and gave up lol. Heavy use of references though sadly I don't know where they came from.. it was an old file I found on my comp from ages ago. Done in photoshop.

Magpies is one of our most common birds around where I am, especially so as they don't migrate during the winter. Because I see it so often, I can easily start thinking about how neat it would be to have other 'exotic' birds in my environment without realising that the magpie is actually a very beautiful bird. Black and white with a taint of green and blue shining gently on its back feathers.

I am writing this because this image reminded me of the same thoughts. It's very pretty.
