A pic I did for NDK6, which also won Best of Show! Wow was I surprised! Oddly I this is also the one I spent the least amount of time on and only finished a few hours before the con ; I love doing patterns like the leaves on the kimono but it's a real pain too. And look, panties! ;;
I now have a Cafepress store with product(s) with this image on it! Please take a look too if you really liked this image, thanx! [link]

Waah! Adorableness! Although, the lack of shading on her hair kind of threw me off at first.....It also would look cool to add some fallen leaves around her. Not that it isn't perfect as it. n_n;
Her kimono is so beautiful. The gold of the leaves matches the pale crimson cloth of her kimono. The deep crimson of her obi (that's what it's called right?) is a really nice splash of bright color in this picture, as well as a beautiful offset to the pale red of her kimono. I also really like how the color of her eyes match that of the leaf pattern. The bricks she's laying on are well drawn and shaded and highlighted and the fur of her tail looks soft and smooth and fluffy. Her hair doesn't have a lot of detail at first glance, but when you really look upon it, one can see the wispy strands about her face. Her skin is delicate and lightly shaded too, which makes her seem quite innocent and fragile.
I really like the circular theme presented in this picture. It does an excellent job of drawing your eyes all around the picture to pick up all the details that might be hidden among the design of this lovely piece; like the tiny splotches of sun shining through the shadows of leaves and the golden cord wrapped about her obi with the delicate tassles at the ends.
Again, beautiful, beautiful shading, excellent composition and design.
How refreshing. I haven't seen such a gorgeous picture in a while; at least not one that's made me really want to critique as I just did. Your work always amazes me.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
